For the 50 anniversary, Rosenthal introduces a 2011 limited edition: We chose 50 vases from well-known artists and designers, which reflect the diversity and innovation of the studio-line. This collection begins in the year 1961 with a vase by tapio wirkkala and ends in 2011 with a new draft by christophe de la fontaine. These objects are timeless classics, which are still part of the studio-line collection today. A few pieces are part of the Rosenthal archive and will be newly launched for the anniversary.

Claus josef riedel was one of the most ambitious glass designers of central europe. His logically consequent and trend-setting works (9th generation!) was highly valued by numerous international awards. Riedel had been working for Rosenthal since 1965. His most important works were the glass ranges "composition" and "hold fast" as well as the legendary "schnapsei". | Rosenthal :
