Conditions of use : Dishwasher safe with this décor the colours are melted into the glaze at 1000 degrees c. Here the glaze softens and the décor sinks into it, thus making colour and luminosity indestructible. It is scratch- and wear-resistant. However, gold decors are not totally scratch resistant by virtue of their natural material properties. This décor was tested by the Rosenthal institute for material technology (iwt). Varacious aristrocratic colors, bright red, precious gold and black with lavish delicate designs and ornaments give the head of medusa a colorful elegant framework. The collection "medusa consists of a complete dining and coffee set and many accessoires. Big breakfast cups for cappucino and café au lait, pasta plates and cereal bowls complement the collection as well as precious, personal gift accessoires like napkin rings, candle holders, vases and a classy smokers-set. The two glass series "medusa lumière" and "méandre", as well as the cutlery collection "medusa gold , complete an elegant and colorful table culture in the unique world of versace.
Designer : Paul wunderlich
Paul wunderlich was an internationally known graphic designer and object artist. His works are characterised by magic and mysticism and use precious materials such as noble metals, ivory and porcelain. Wunderlich had been working for Rosenthal since 1978. His porcelain forms "mythos" and "idillio" are reminiscences of the airiness of porcelain, of its shining transparency in interplay with light. For the limited art edition wunderlich created the objects "anubis" (100 pices), "elipsoid" (150 pieces) and "vagant" (50 pieces) as well as in 2003 complimenting the collection "hommage | philip Rosenthal" the relief "torso für philip Rosenthal" (49). | Rosenthal :
